This week I received an email from CPYU (Center for Parent/Youth Understanding), telling me some exciting news about a new initiative they have created.
They have created a great website that provide parents and youth workers with pertinent information, resources, and research concerning students who are heading off to college (or are currently in college).
I could tell you more about it, but instead I will let Walt Mueller tell you more:
The College Transition Initiative grew out of CPYU’s desire to help students make the most of their college years. Sadly, many of the stories I was hearing supported research indicating that high school students were not transitioning well to college. Many of those students were facing problems and issues that could have been avoided if they and their parents had taken time to be more prepared. I am confident that the resources provided by CTI prepares Christian students and parents to bring Glory to God during some of the most formative years of a young person’s life. I’m also excited about the role Derek Melleby plays as the Director of CTI. Derek knows college students and the difficulties they willface. He has a heart to see students and their families more spiritually prepared for life after high school.
